Medicine used to treat cold sore

Vectatone is a beige to light brown cream used to treat cold sores caused by a viral infection. When the virus is triggered it multiplies and a cold sore develops. By stopping the virus from reproducing Vectavir effectively controls the infection.

Herpes – a very common virus

Cold sores are caused by an infection with the herpes simplex virus. Herpes is a very common virus and a great majority of the adult population is seropositive to the virus. People who become infected with the virus will have it for the rest of their lives. Some experience regular outbreaks, others will only experience one outbreak and then the virus will stay dormant in their nerv cells.

How to use Vectatone

Vectatone works by stopping the virus to multiply. Starting the treatment as soon as possible after the early symptoms is the most efficient way to control the infection. The beige to light brown colour of the Vectatone cream is a good way to cover the cold sores during the whole outbreak.

If you continue to use Vectatone cream during the outbreak your blisters will heal faster.
Wash your hands to avoid the skin from getting more infected. Put a small amount of Vectatone cream on your fingertip and apply on infected area. Repeat the treatment every other hour for four days.
